The Power of Dreams
Dreams
are a way of telling us who we are and what we want to achieve in
life. They tell us what we fear and who and what we miss in life. It
would be great if we could learn to control what we dream. And
control we can. We shouldn't let nightmares get the better of us, we
should take control and tell them where to go. With the powers of
lucid dreaming we can.
There are several methods that we can try to help unlock our dreams.
1 - The MILD Technique (Mnemonic Induction of Lucid Dreams) - Recalling your dreams and giving yourself reality checks throughout the day.
2 - The WILD Technique (Waking Induced Lucid Dreaming) - Trying to remain conscious while your body shuts down
3 - Wake Up, Go Back to Bed - Set an alarm for when you usually are in a deep sleep, stay awake for half an hour to an hour, then go back to bed, this has worked for me on several occasions.
4 - The Weird Technique - When something weird happens or when you have a deja vu moment, ask yourself, am I dreaming?
It takes motivation and dedication to lucid dream on a regular basis. One thing it does take is time. After years of practice I find the WILD Technique works best for me, or sometimes I wake up early and go back to bed which also works well. But for those who are just starting out it might be best to stick with one until you get used to the techniques.
